ECO 1.0 is a work in progress that had it's orign from an exhibition room of the Narkes project.
In every Narkes exhibition, there where twor rooms: one showed the self-portrait projection, and the other, the visitor where invited to make their own self-portraits.
In the same conditions that narkes was created ( webcam, simple computer, single lamp bulb), over 5 thousand records - photos and videos - were made.
From this amazing visitors participation, the project was born. At the end of the exhibitions, all images were recorded.
ECO 1.0 is a collective self-portrait, made of ethnic and cultural multiplicity of visitors faces, poses and gestures. The next step is put it all togheter for a future exhibition.
